The Hospital for Small Animals at the
University of Edinburgh is looking to recruit a dedicated and talented
veterinary surgeon for our Specialist Internship in Small Animal
Neurology/Neurosurgery. This 12-month program is ideally suited to a candidate
who has already completed a rotating internship or has postgraduate
experience in small animal practice.
You will join a team of three ECVN diplomats and four ECVN residents providing
supervised clinical services in our busy referral hospital. You will be
involved with case management, monitoring, and treatment, and work with the
team to provide the highest standards of care for referred cases. Furthermore,
you will be supported to contribute to our ongoing, diverse, clinical research
programs. In addition, you will take part in the Neurology and Neurosurgical
‘out-of-hours’ service, with support from senior colleagues. You will benefit
from in-house training and CPD programs and participate in ward rounds, case
reviews, and interpretation of clinical data.
