Our brand new, state-of-the-art Hospital located just outside Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, opened at the end of 2020, and we are now looking to expand the team.

Our brand new, state-of-the-art Hospital located just outside Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, opened at the end of 2020, and we are now looking to expand the team. We are recruiting in a number of disciplines, including neurology and neurosurgery to help us to satisfy the demand for referrals. This is an exciting opportunity to help to further establish the service and to drive its’ development.


Veterinary Specialists, Scotland (VSS) is a newly established multi-disciplinary referral centre that opened in October 2020. The clinic premises have been completely refurbished and are equipped to allow you to practise neurology at the highest standard. You will be joining a full-time neurology clinician and a well-established team of specialists in other disciplines, including soft tissue, orthopaedics and neurosurgery, canine and feline internal medicine, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. There are plans to add further specialties over the coming months.

We are happy to consider neurology diplomates and candidates who have successfully completed an approved neurology residency programme. The team’s core values are excellence in patient, client, colleague, and referring vet care, and we place a strong emphasis on team and collaborative working. We are looking for neurologists who share our ethos to help make VSS a supportive, stimulating, and enjoyable place to practise veterinary medicine and surgery to the highest standard.
