JUNIOR CLINICAL VETERINARIAN IN NEUROLOGY (SERVICE INTERN)

 

Grade 7 Stipend: £30,942.00

 

Limit of Tenure: 12 months

 

The Department is seeking to recruit a Junior Clinical Veterinarian in Neurology (Service Intern) from 1 May 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter, in order to enhance provision of clinical neurology services and undergraduate teaching. The Junior Clinical Veterinarian in Neurology (Service Intern) will provide support in the provision of clinical neurology services.

 

This is an opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a well-equipped and supportive academic environment. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the practical instruction of veterinary students and the out-of-hours rota, and to support the training programme for Clinical Training Scholars in Neurology.

 

The experience and practical skills gained in the twelve months will enable candidates to prepare for a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship (Residency) programme.

 

Candidates must be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), or hold a veterinary degree qualifying them for membership, and have at least 12 months’ experience in companion animal practice. Completion of a rotating internship is preferable.
