Neurologist position at the Vetsuisse Faculty Bern, Switzerland

The Division of Clinical Neurology of the Vetsuisse Faculty Bern, Switzerland invites a Veterinary Neurologist to join its team for three years. The international, dynamic, young team is formed by two ECVN Diplomates, two full-time residents, one part-time resident, one combined PhD/resident, one neurology intern and one rotating intern.

The position is open for clinicians holding an ECVN or AVIM board Certificate in Neurology, although board-eligible Candidates will also be considered. The focus of the position is on Clinical Research and should enable the Candidate to reach all qualifications for a career in academia. The Candidate is also expected to enhance the Division’s reputation offering an excellent clinical Neurology service.
The Division of Neurology is a very busy service with approximately 750 referred neurological cases per year, supported by state-of-the art diagnostics and therapeutical facilities. The University provides a very stimulating research environment focused on neuroscience with strong multidisciplinary collaboration with neuropathology and neuroimaging.

The position is particularly aimed for clinicians that are enthusiastic in teaching. She/He will contribute in delivering theoretical and clinical training for undergraduate students as well as for postgraduate training programmes.

The Candidate should be fluent in at least one of the two official languages of the Faculty (German and French), nevertheless English is widely used as a working language in the division.
