Neurology & Neurosurgery Internship at Cave Veterinary Specialists, Wellington, Somerset, UK

Cave Vet Specialists is recruiting for a neurology and neurosurgery intern to work alongside Tom Cardy and Fran Taylor-Brown as part of their specialist team. Both clinicians are European Board of Veterinary Specialists (EBVS) and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) recognised specialists in veterinary neurology. The position is for one year and the successful candidate will work alongside European and American diplomates at our multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the south west of England.

Candidates should have a minimum of twelve months experience working as a qualified veterinary surgeon or have completed a rotating internship. All candidates should be registered (or eligible for registration) with the RVCS. Daily case-based teaching will be augmented by journal clubs, lectures and a research project of your choice. The position is intended for those individuals who practice the highest standards of veterinary medicine, who wish to improve their knowledge base and technical skills and who are wishing to complete a residency in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. Candidates should be proactive, professional and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. Fran and Tom are supported by a compassionate team of qualified veterinary nurses, physiotherapists and patient care assistants and the ability to work well within this team is essential.
