International Symposium
Cervical spondylomyelopathy (CSM): state of the art
Bologna (I) 14-15 April 2018

Cervical spondylomyelopathy has always been a challenge for neurologists and neurosurgeons. Numerous studies have been published over the last ten years which have lead to a greater understanding of the pathogenesis of this disease.

The dissemination and use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in veterinary medicine has enabled neurologists to acquire important new diagnostic information. Finally, innovative surgical therapies have been introduced for the stabilization-distraction of the affected joints as well as for the prosthetic replacement of intervertebral discs.

It is therefore extremely exciting to be able to gather in an international symposium the authors who have engaged their scientific research in the study of CSM, in order to guarantee neurologists and neurosurgeons an effective update and the possibility to identify shared guidelines for the treatment of the disease.
