30 november 2011 In line with the on-going strategic development of clinical services provided by the UCD Veterinary Hospital, UCD wishes to recruit a clinical lecturer in Veterinary Neurology/Neurosurgery in the University Veterinary Hospital (UVH), University College Dublin, Ireland (http://www.ucd.ie) commencing in Early 2012. 13 october 2011 The Department of Clinical Sciences at the Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants to fill a full-time, 12-month appointment. Depending upon experience, qualifications and interest, the successful candidate may be appointed to either a tenure-track (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) or non-tenure track (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) position in Small Animal Neurology/Neurosurgery. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to participate in teaching and clinical service in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital. Teaching responsibilities include the clinical and didactic instructional activities of the professional veterinary medicine and postgraduate training programs related to small animal neurology/neurosurgery. Clinical service and research responsibilities are negotiable and will depend on the successful candidate’s interests and the type of appointment, i.e. clinical vs. tenure track appointment. There is ample opportunity to participate in established research programs within the department and college. 14 July 2011 Deadline: 15 august 2011. The residency will be for a period of 3 years commencing on 1st september 2011 and is sponsoring by TVM. The Alfort residency is an
accredited program in neurology. The unit consults a mix of medical
and surgical cases (caseload is around 900 cases a year), has access
to on site large and exotic animal clinics. In addition, the
hospital offers onsite radiography, ultrasound, helical CT, MRI and
scintigraphy. Other facilities include electrophysiology (EMG, NCV,
and EP) and an onsite pathology service. A neuromuscular research
laboratory linked to the neurology service offers histological
diagnosis on nerve and muscle biopsies. The rotations include
general internal medicine (first year) and specialized activities
in neurology and neurosurgery (from first to third year) in addition
to on duty
